Medusa Character Description

In room 24 we wrote a character description about Medusa. She is the most famous of three gorgons in greek mythology. The word gorgon means female monster. Medusa was the only mortal of three sisters.Her sisters names were Eurayle and Stheno. Some people believe that Gaia is Medusa's mother. Medusa lived in Athens in the country Greece. If you looked into her eyes you would turn into stone. Medusa was cursed by Athena because she made fun of her temple parthenon.

Medusa had golden locks as golden as marygolds, and lips as red as the reddest of reddest rose. One fine day Medusa went to Athena the goddess of wisdoms temple parthenon and said everything that was done there would have been better if it were her. Sadly Athena the goddess of wisdom transformed Medusa into an ugly beast. Medusa then was as ugly as a troll. If she looked into anyones eyes they would turn into stone. There were snakes that danced viciously on her head. So since she turned ugly she went away into hiding.

So what is Medusa? is she a mortal? Well obviously we know she is a monstrous beast. In fact she is a person that cares for only herself. She is no longer living in the town of Athens but in a horrible cave. Medusa is now a horrible creature because she offended Athena's temple parthenon.
