Please Help Us!!!

We need your Like!
Some of our lovely Year 6 students have entered a competition run by Wai Care. Last year, we adopted part of the Otara Stream - it's had it tough, but is managing to hang on and be home to eels and native fish. If we get enough likes we could win the People's Choice award - and we would use the prize to help fund restoration, signage and replanting. Please share as far and wide as you can - you just need to make sure to like the post on Wai Care's page, and not a photo. We are Papatoetoe Central School. Direct link to our entry is below.

In our learning we will be focusing on:

Weeks 1-5: The ANZAC's- we will be hosting a whole school celebration on Friday of week one.

Weeks 6-8- Life Education Caravan

Weeks 9-11- Local Heroes in our community

During weeks 1-4, we are very lucky to get some hockey coaching from the Counties Manukau Sports team.

Not forgetting the value for this term: HONESTY.
Remember to always tell the TRUTH!!!

No one likes lies. But, unfortunately, being dishonest with others and ourselves is sometimes easier than telling the truth. It doesn't need to be that way, though. Learning to be honest and eliminating the need for lies can help to clean up your conscience and your relationships. Shifting your perspective slightly and orienting yourself to a policy of honesty can help you to eliminate the need for lies and make it more attractive to tell the truth.
